If the freeamp code is anything now like it was when I was working on
it, ~two years ago, it would be a gigantic pain in the ass to get threads
working. The codebase pretty much requires linux thread behavior, and
dies a horrible death on anything else. I pretty much threw up my hands
and gave up the Solaris port.

Last I checked, the code was getting real lignucentric again...
