I have a question that is important in regards to building pkgsrc on 
OS X/Darwin.  How can we check for programs already available with 
the base Darwin install, e. g., I just went to build inn on my OS X 
box but I stopped the build when it attempted to build Perl on my 
machine since I already have Perl installed with the base system. 
How could we have bmake check for installed programs like this?
