I just recently re-build pth-1.4.1 and mozilla on a 1.6_BETA4/i386 box.
I had pth-1.4.1 installed already, but my first build attempt choked so
I bravely did:

cd pkgsrc/devel/pth
make update

after which my make for mozilla was happy.

I'm about to update the box to 1.6_RC1 btw.
