.. c.q. current-in-flux ;)

after updated 1.6 to current -D 20030122 i had my
http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-pkg/2003/02/10/0000.html
and
http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-pkg/2003/02/10/0001.html
problems.


then i noticed:

host07# ./tar-1.6 xfz crimson-1.1.3-bin.tar.gz
host07# tar xfz crimson-1.1.3-bin.tar.gz
tar: Invalid header, starting valid header search.

extracting gnusrc.tgz to build me a new tar..
no tar inside ((.

and i realised..for me, second time in life, tar didn't do it for me.
(and i didn't dare to ask the/a list)

did the trick..

..i wasn't at the "fat black line" !!
(as in: current is in a flux)
so
updated 1.6 to current -D 20030122
should have been
updated 1.6 to 1.6.1 -D 20030208

thus said thus done..now all pkg & extra build/pkg/install fine.
(besides that..did i reason ok?)


rases me the question..
i did see 'branch/version-announcements' in the past,
but no 'current's usable again-announcements'.
could we have them?
or just look if tar's in place? see gnusrc.tgz's size?


o a.nice thing pkgsrc did branche off some days ago.
