Hi Markus.

The problems seems to be caused by default key bindings. Typing
/bind (without any parameters) lists them, for instance:

*** =E4 is bound to DELETE_NEXT_WORD

And in fact, hitting =E4 just in front of a word on the command
line does exactly that.
