I opted for -dirs packages mainly for two reasons:
1) Some package keeps track of these directories.  This seems a strong point
   to me.
2) To avoid multiple empty and useless directories on machines where they
   are not needed (i.e., servers w/o X).  Not very important.

So, I could put all these X11 directories in their one package.
Ooor... maybe you could use the .x11.dist files?  They contain all required
directories for X11, isn't it?

BTW, I'm planning to work on a mk/dirs.mk file to simplify and centralize
dependancies on -dirs packages after the freeze...
