This is under NetBSD 1.6.x with gcc 2.95.3.

I have gtk2+-2.4.0.

graphics/libexif-gtk fails to build:

So I manually edited work/libexif-gtk-0.3.3/libexif-gtk/Makefile and
work/libexif-gtk-0.3.3/gtk-extensions/Makefile and removed the
-DGTK_DISABLE_DEPRECATED references.

And all was well ... it built and it installed.

So then back to my goal: graphics/gtkam

It had errors next:

So I edited work/gtkam-0.1.10/src/Makefile and removed the
-DGTK_DISABLE_DEPRECATED line.


Then gtkam built and installed.

What does this GTK_DISABLE_DEPRECATED mean?

And is this related to new gtk+-2.4.0 update?
