I just installed the same version of nas on the same version of NetBSD, no
problems.  Do you have XFree86 installed correctly?

In the meanwhile you can:
	echo "MPLAYER_DISABLE_DRIVERS=arts esd nas sdl" >>/etc/mk.conf
