There's no question in my mind that this is a problem.

That's actually exceedingly dangerous, for may reasons, that I'm sure
everyone can figure out.

That seems the obvious solution to me, too. I hadn't realized until just
now that the postgresql and postgresql74 packages were incompatable,
because they insist on installing into the same places.
Well, I look forward to seeing a fix for this after the freeze. Thanks
for clearing up this issue for me.
