hi, i think i'm having some trouble with PREFER_NATIVE and PREFER_PKGSRC. i
want pkgsrc to acknowedge the versions of perl, bzip2, and so on
that i already have installed. i've tried:
PREFER_NATIVE= yes
PREFER_PKGSRC= no
..and..
PREFER_NATIVE= perl
PREFER_PKGSRC= no
and other combinations. any idea why this would be?
i have the same version of perl that pkgsrc is trying into install but in
/usr.
i really don't pkgsrc duplicating packages i already have installed, is
there another way to deal with this?
thanks,
tony
