I tried a 'pkg_add gnome' tonight, and it happily continued downloading
and installing stuff after it found that (e.g.) my glib2 package was too
old. The pkgs were still registered with the old glib2, and to update
glib2 via binary pkgs, I had to pkg_delete the just-installed packages
again.

Sounds pretty broken to me.
