Solaris is still on hold, but I got the CVS-version of qemu finally 
compiling today, patchset (including what's in pkgsrc right now) is at 
http://www.feyrer.de/Misc/qemu-20050501.patch. Unfortunately, something in 
there prevents X working in NetBSD (as guest), which works fine in your 
0.7.0 version (using the cirrus driver; vesa hangs too for the CVS 
version).
