In addition to allowing gnumeric14 to build with python2.4, I've
modified makefiles for the following to be used with python 2.4 :

py-sybase/Makefile
mayavi/Makefile
vtk-python/Makefile
py-psyco/Makefile

No guarantees that they work correctly, but they worked for what
I needed.
