hi,

are there any net/samba2 users left?  i am tempted to remove the package
since it's no longer maintained upstream, has several vulnerabilities
for a long time[*] and its overall usefulness these days is doubtful.

unless there are strong objections, the package will be removed before
2005Q2 branch is cut.

[*] if you are still using it, could you, please, try patch from
    http://NetBSD.org/~salo/patches/samba2.diff ?  builds fine,
    otherwise untested.
