Installing xfce4 from the above URL fails due to a missing gtk2+
package. Any ideas what happened to it?

I think there were a few other missing packages (e.g. tiff), so I
checked the 'vulnerable' subdirectory and sure 'tiff' was there, but no
gtk2+
