Case sensitivity is not really the most important problem under macosx.
It's only a problem if you only have one big partition of 50Go on  
your disk, which is a bit idiot (though it is the case in the default  
osx installation). But i recognize pkgsrc is more difficult to  
install for a typical osx user, with no unix background (but this one  
do not want pkgsrc, see point 2).

Yes, support for build of aqua applications and xcodebuild is really  
a nice feature of darwinports. But do we really want that sort of  
unportable things in pkgsrc ? The same with StartupItems.
Maybe that kind of support could have it's place in wip or in a  
dedicated project.
