I just found some package Makefiles where MAINTAINER is a list if
addresses

  print/teTeX3-texmfsrc

  sysutils/sformat

  x11/mlterm

Is this a way to introduce some kind of "secondary" maintainer?

I dimly remember discussions about the possibility to add something like
this but as far as I know there was no decision how to handle this.
