Removing .so usage in man pages

Hi all,
there are a number of packages that use .so includes in man pages.
Most of them are simple aliases. Some of them are used to include common
boiler plate. I would like to get rid of them -- they waste space and
make man page rendering (file system) position depending without good
reason. In some cases, they are just using non-existing files.
What do you think?
