Yes, I did use url2pkg, using the github .zip archive url.  Aside from reading the pkgsrc manual and installing a few packages, I am a relative newcomer.   Is there any additional information I can provide that will help you help me? Perhaps the contents of my mk.conf?

Blind leading the blind here. How did you make your package? Have you
used url2pkg?
