Trying to create a patch to make python 2.7 pkgsrc version compatible with my bsddb3 library, I have discovered that pkgsrc python 2.7 compiles module "bsddb185". That module is so ancient that is not even present in the Python 2.7 documentation at <https://docs.python.org/2/>. It even has a faq: <https://docs.python.org/2/faq/general.html?highlight=bsddb185#what-is-this-bsddb185-module-my-application-keeps-complaining-about>. Note that "modern" bsddb module was included in 2.3, at that point bsddb185 was obsolete. I request permission to "extirpate" bsddb185 from pkgsrc version of python2.7 (a simple line edit). -- Jesús Cea Avión _/_/ _/_/_/ _/_/_/ jcea%jcea.es@localhost - http://www.jcea.es/ _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ Twitter: @jcea _/_/ _/_/ _/_/_/_/_/ jabber / xmpp:jcea%jabber.org@localhost _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ "Things are not so easy" _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ _/_/ "My name is Dump, Core Dump" _/_/_/ _/_/_/ _/_/ _/_/ "El amor es poner tu felicidad en la felicidad de otro" - Leibniz
