Building packages for an older NetBSD version

What's the best way to build packages for an older version of NetBSD (for 6.x on 
8.x, in this case)? chroot into an install of the older version and null mount 
pkgsrc (with different PKGREPOSITORY and WRKOBJDIR, of course)?
