I don't remember the outcome - the work around was specifying the /netbsd,
so e.g.,

  savecore -z -N netbsd /var/crash

-current is happy. I remember a discussion on how whatever savecore looks
for in /netbsd, it ought to find in what was written to the dump device,
but don't remember what the conclusion was.
