    3.0, 3.0.1 and 3.0.2 definitely do not support at least
    NetBSD/i386 ELF platform. Dunno about later revisions because
    I am not interested in 3.0 branch anymore. gcc-current works just
    fine for me.



i submitted my changes shortly after 3.0 was released, and either
included a second patch relevant for the 3.0 branch, or a message
asking that the same patch be applied to the 3.0 branch.  this
change appeared in GCC 3.0.4.  it should work but i haven't tested
it myself.
