This is getting ugly.

Maybe we need a C{PP,OPT,WARN}FLAGS.{GCC,PCC} etc.
Then we could get rid of the ifdefs (which IMO are not scaleable).

What if I want to compile everything with ARM's ARM compiler?
More ifdef's?
