Re: Proposal: change requirement for tools from C89 to C99
Speaking as someone who has in the past built NetBSD on (Open)Solaris, I
am not averse to this change.
Building a modern version of GCC on something old like Solaris 10 isn't
the easiest thing in the world, especially if you want to do a competent
job of it, but it really does just boil down to managing GCC's
dependencies. Once you are done, not only can you build NetBSD, but you
have a modern competently installed version of GCC on your obviously
important Solaris box.
