In addition to the highly questionable premise that this feature is desired,
there is another problem:

	the code isn't written correctly

That one mod drags all of stdio into the ELF run time loader, which previously
went to some effort to stay lean and mean.

	"Bad move."

If we must do this (ick) we should either use the one I wrote a year ago
and sent into core (well, to Jason) or, use Matt's, after he rewrites it.
