Wow! You learn something every day I guess!
And that's been there since the 4.3BSD days (i.e. it's in net2).
And it's in POSIX 1003.2 too, but not, at least according to the
manuals, in any AT&T UNIX up to SysVr4.2.
So, is there anything that truncate(1) can do that dd(1) cannot?
