No, we shouldn't.

We already have an fsck_ext2fs, and making a newfs_ext2fs based on
newfs_ffs probably would not be that hard.  ext2fs really is just
a (bad) clone of FFS, so there's not much use in asking the author
to release that code under a different license, when we would be
better served by taking one of our FS tools that's "close already"
and making it into the right thing.
