Anyone against putting:
TARGET_ENDIANNESS!= \
printf "\#include <machine/endian_machdep.h>\n_BYTE_ORDER\n" | \
${CC} -I${DESTDIR}/usr/include -E - | tail -1
in as the test? This should cover all cases.
