yep.  basically what we're looking for is the file, local, prog, and
smtp delivery agents from sendmail, in a very small and easy to
use/configure package.  with no security problems.  i think wietse
started this point a few years ago...

postfix supports this directly, whereas sendmail does not.  otoh, this
is trivial to achieve via forwarding to a program.
