No matter what we do, growth is steady and it just will not fit.
We should do two things:
- start using reasonable (non-size-constrained) boot methods where
available (i.e. on i386 go to a no-emulation mode bootloader for CDs)
- drop the "one size fits all" idea for install/rescue sets and create a
separate "tiny" list for things like tiny floppies. We can then
decide if it's more likely that someone still using a floppy will want
IPv6 tools for install or FFS snapshots (or whatever). We are never
going to get it right for everyone.
Unfortunately these tiny install sets will likely be not well tested ;-)
