Greetings,
I quote the manpage mktemp(1), SYNOPSIS:
| mktemp [-d] [-q] [-t prefix] [-u] [template ...]
(1) It is my understanding that all arguments are optional.
However, if I issue
$ mktemp
I get a message
| usage: mktemp [-d] [-q] [-t prefix] [-u] [template ...]
and no action is performed, in contradiction to (1).
The truth appears to be that one of either "-t prefix" or
"template ..." must be present. Am I correct?
Greetings,
Tilman.
