I tried that also, no joy (I'm using an lndir'ed directory for this, should be
ok, right?) same failures. I have already done another cvs of xsrc and done a
diff between them, both trees are the same.

This is probably what I'm running into, as I also have gzip failures where if
I gzip/gunzip i get different data afterwards. I'm looking for a new system now.
If anyone else has an athlon A7V perhaps they can try doing a build of xsrc. It
would be a shame if I have to unearth my pentium 166 machine to do a build of
xsrc.
