The is no "X11 1.4.0". I suppose you are talking about XFree86 4.1.0.

i810 support requires agpart support in the kernel which NetBSD doesn't
have so far or (?) special BIOS support. Manuel Bouyer
(bouyer@antioche.lip6.fr) might be able to tell your more about the
later one.
