I have built and installed current with XFree86-4.4.0 on a workstation
but cannot persuade X to provide a usable display. The pointer is
detecting the edges of objects about a centimetre to the right and
fiddling with xvidtune doesn't help. Neither does disabling DDC,
specifying a DisplaySize or using -- -dpi. Everything worked fine under
XFree86-4.3 - the same modeline was used but it always indicated a
resolution of 100x100 dpi. What am I missing? Do I need to roll back to
XFree86-4.3. If so, what's the best way? (I'm building current + xsrc
via build.sh on a Debian box then upgrading via an NFS mount - it was
all going so well, :( )
