I've been looking into this, and it seems like this should probably be
the default. Build Mesa (I'm using 6.5.2) with -Wstrict-aliasing and
you'll see what I'm talking about. I was reading some bug reports
where this fixed issues with compiz/beryl, like "white screen"
lockups, etc.
Just a "heads up".
