Re: Xorg stuck in drmlk2
hi everyone,
I'm having the same locking issue here (NetBSD-current/i386 + mesa7.0.3
+ xf86-video-mga1.4.8),
except for the fact that X freezes immediately on startup, so I can't
run any app
(just move the mouse on a blank screen, as keyboard's not responding).
Here's is the dmesg output with the debug turned on:
[drm:pid629:drm_ioctl] pid=629, cmd=0x8008642a, nr=0x2a, dev 0xc0e26800,
auth=1
[drm:pid629:drm_lock] 1 (pid 629) requests lock (0xe0008000), flags =
0x00000000
[drm:pid629:drm_lock] 1 interrupted
[drm:pid629:drm_ioctl] returning 4

the log actually ends here (drm_ioctl does not return)
at the same time (until it freezes) Xorg echoes tons of this error message:
mieqEnequeue: out-of-order valuator event; dropping
tossed event which came in late
then the xserver lies mtsleeping():
629 Giulio 39 0 1900K 12M drmlk2 0:11 24.22% 19.58% Xorg
No idea about the error reason, neither if the interrupted ioctl locks
("returning EINTR")
have something to do with the lockup.
Giulio
