Re: Mouse cursor jumping to the left of the screen with native xorg

Can you try the patch from PR port-i386/39299 instead?
Yes, and it seems to fix the problem.
What I've ran was gqmpeg (=mpg123 frontend) and firefox. The former for
some FPU intensive application, the latter for GUI. Kernels that I've
tried are 4.99.72 from Oct 1st without your patch, and 4.99.73 from Oct
16th with your patch, both on a Toshiba Portege 3440ct with NetBSD's new
native X.org and the "savage" driver.
The test case that I've tried while playing music in gqmpeg was to move
the mouse cursor across Firefox menues (built-in ones plus items on the
toolbar), and with the unpatched kernel the mouse cursor often skipped to
the left site of the screen, often into the upper left corner. Booting the
new kernel, this jumping does not seem to occur.
Not knowing any further implications of your patch, I'd give it a thumbs
up.
