rotated news items

added <p> tags to space hardware.html categories better

made changes to reflect new hardware support (audiocs recording, nell with
8 bit devices)

modified some javastation information -- I had mistakenly believed that some
support had been committed to -current, when in fact it is on a private
branch.  Moved status information to a separate page.
