warnings from pango under Mac OS X 10.4.11

I'm seeing the following warnings from some programs that link to pango(e.g., wireshark and 'dot' from graphviz):


(wireshark:12966): Pango-WARNING **: Error loading GDEF table 85

(wireshark:12966): Pango-WARNING **: Error loading GSUB table 85

(wireshark:12966): Pango-WARNING **: Error loading GPOS table 85

Google turns up a few similar complaints, but no solutions.

Can anyone here offer any insight or a fix?
