I cvs updated to -rHEAD.
Alas, it doesn't seem to work for me. Configure still aborts with

checking for XLIB_XCB... no
configure: error: Package requirements (x11-xcb) were not met:

No package 'x11-xcb' found
...
*** Error code 1
