Continuing -current native freetype2/fontconfig fallout w/pkgsrc-HEAD
I'm using i386-6.99.38 from just after 201403250050Z (built with
HAVE_GCC=48 in case it's relevant) and updating packages to pkgsrc-HEAD
from just after 201403242209Z using 'pkg_rolling-replace'. I'm still
seeing problems related to freetype2 and/or fontconfig updates in native
xorg and related pkgsrc changes. Following the various threads on the
topic, I made sure to clean out stale pkg-config "*.pc" files before
rebuilding.
So far, packages which have failed to build as a result of failing to
detect headers/libraries related to freetype2 and/or fontconfig are:
x11/motif, graphics/cairo, graphics/gd, print/web2c,
print/poppler-utils, graphics/imlib2
Watching "x11/motif" build showed that it does not claim freetype2 as
a dependency, but the ./configure script looks for freetype (not freetype2)
and fails. Shortly afterward, the build fails with:
[...]
In file included from
/var/tmp/pkgsrc/x11/motif/work/.x11-buildlink/include/X11/Xft/Xft.h:39:0,
from XmRenderTI.h:33,
from Label.c:82:
/var/tmp/pkgsrc/x11/motif/work/.x11-buildlink/include/ft2build.h:37:29: fatal
error: config/ftheader.h: No such file or directory
#include <config/ftheader.h>
[...]
The other failing packages display similar behavior.
