No, it's with 6.1.1. So I have 

-r--r--r--  1 root  wheel  1299229 Aug 15  2013 /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.7.1

But I guess it explains why clang was changed. I don't see an option
though to use the GNU c++ library.

Maybe that change was very recent? I built a -current recently and I
have

-r--r--r--  1 rhialto  users  1294935 Apr 10 00:25 
..../destdir.amd64/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.7.2
