Hi,
I don't know enough about C++ and boost to tell if there was an ABI
change or not. The exact dependency on =1.60 probably comes from the
buildlink3.mk file, where both dependencies (=, >=) are stated.
The problem that I have is that the clients using binary package repos
do not pick up the rebuilt packages (those which use boost-libs) because
of the missing revbump, whereas they do pick up the updated boost-libs
package itself. That results in broken dependencies in the local package
database.
