FWIW, I updated just before the backout/downgrade and the patches
commited to "graphics/gegl", "graphics/inkscape", and "net/wireshark"
allowed them to build.  Those were the only affected packages in the
subset that I routinely build.

If the backout stands, I suppose those patches will have to be backed
out as well?

pkg_rr doesn't like going backwards.  Perhaps affected packages need
an upper bound on glib2 version?  I suppose a forcible removal of glib2
and gobject-introspection and rebuild of affected packages will do the
trick.
