Thank you; I did see that when trying to grasp why the pkgsrc QGis
could produce PDFs but not with geocoding.

I tried that at the time, unsuccessfully, and fell back to saving the
QGis project from NetBSD then loading it elsewhere when I need a map
PDF.
I am unfamiliar with bl3/buildlink3.

You are correct. My 3.10 QGis version is on a Pi4 that's older than a
Pi5, with the latter having:
"QGIS 3.22.16-Białowieża 'Białowieża' (exported)"
Looks like I'd need a kernel update on the Pi4 to get to QGis newer
releases (off-topic).
