That is not what I said. I intend to provide a bug report once I have
the time to build the package with debug symbols, get the backtraces
and suggest patches, otherwise the upstream may not have the
inclination to look for specific hardware in order to reproduce the
issue. But this will take some time, as I have other things to do on my
list.

Once again, you fail to understand my point of view. When there is a
known regression with packages in a stable release, and it may take some
time to fix them, there seems to be no provision to update the stable
release to include previous working version of the packages, so people
affected by the issue, could simply issue:

pkg_add <URL to a working package version>

Or maybe there is a provision, but you don't want to bother about
NetBSD or Solaris running on SPARC, as it is not something that you
personally use. I really don't know, so don't want to speculate on this
too much.
