Am I correct in assuming that an AMI created by following these
instructions will panic on boot when launched on EC2, and that "useful
to people" therefore should be taken more as "useful as a starting
point for tracking down that issue" than "useful for running NetBSD on
EC2 today"?

Also, they seem to be missing the file "root-starpass.patch".
