	hello Greg.  It has been my experience with Xen, whether it's with NetBSD as dom0 or
FreeBSD as dom0, the real factor in performance is the quality of the i/o on the dom0.
Communications between the domu's and dom0 via the xbd drivers is a real bottleneck which is
compounded greatly if the underlying disk subsystem is also pretty slow, especially when
dealing with multithreaded i/o requests.  I switched from using onboard Intel SATA IDE
controllers to ABOGO SATA raid controllers running in jbod  mode and found my throughput and
performance on all types of domu's was greatly improved.
During your tests, is your i/o bandwidth  saturated?
