I said in public (well, ICB) that I was going to finish cleaning up
the directories I had already done so that they weren't left in a half
state, and stop. It was another dozen files out of hundreds.

Really, your vitriol on this is way over the top. We're talking about
spaces here. Perhaps the changes aren't that important, but they
aren't going to cause anyone harm either. You're acting as though
someone had killed your wife, not as though someone had committed a
few whitespace cleanups. Have a sense of proportion.
